David Archuleta in Salt Lake City

I was in Lake Powell when the American Idol concert came to SLC or else I probably would have bought tickets and gone to the concert. (That is how much I LOVED American Idol this season) But, check out David Archuleta when he sang in SLC... it's rare that you see such genuine raw emotion, especially for such a large audience. (He cries at the end of this song, I think b/c he dedicated the song to his Utah fans and he was majorly feelin' their hometown love) What a sweet guy! I think he is just adorable, so proud he's from Murray (my hometown). :)

Moosehorn Lake - Uintahs

We paddled around Moosehorn Lake (we also camped here). Sooooo beautiful. And Wyatt caught his first fish! We were walking around the lake and met a nice family who let Wyatt reel in a fish. He was thrilled! He said "I could do it again if you want" :) haha

Wyatt loves to build cairns when we hike - so after conquering (haha) Mt. Baldy we built the biggest/tallest cairn we could! :)

Wyatt entertained himself by putting wildflowers in my hair on the way up to the top of Mt. Baldy.

Albion Basin - Cecret Lake Hike

We always try to hit Albion Basin to check out the wildflowers this time of year. They will be AWESOME next week I bet. We were a tad early for the peak - but beautiful nonetheless.

If we get to choose our own heaven, my heaven is going to be LAKE POWELL!!!

I LOVED THIS TRIP TO LAKE POWELL. We had such a blast. Some highlights:
*Doing our good deed for the day we were the little tugboat that could... until we couldn't anymore. :) With our old little ski boat, we pulled a stranded boat all the way from Good Hope Bay (30 miles up the lake from Bullfrog) through the main channel until we ran out of gas! We had to cut our rescuees loose (they hooked up with a houseboat) and we ran on fumes to the gas dock 10 miles up the lake until we eventually ran out of gas and had to be rescued ourselves! :)
*Surfing behind b-i-l's awesome wakeboarding boat for the year - the Malibu Wake Setter. So. Much. Fun. ANYONE could surf on that wave... even me. :)
*Games. Games. Games. Can't get enough of em. Highlight though was Steve and Barbs playing Psst. Oh my gosh we laughed hard.
*Wyatt & the beach. He can entertain himself for hours (maybe forever? :))on the beach at Lake Powell. Collecting sea shells, slaying dragons with sticks, etc.
*My cute little nieces... we had a great time "riding that pony" and tubing and just goofing off
*Crashing the new Cartouche Douche. (sorry, I didn't give it either name:)) Yes there was a minor incident w/the new boat. NOT Steve's fault. There's only someone else's slide to repair, though. Whooops! :)

Friendly BBQ & Firework Show
This was so much fun. Our awesome friends had a BBQ and then we all put on a firework show for each other at the ampitheater in the park. In an effort to not post pictures of those who would prefer not to be on the web I'm not posting pics of all the cute kiddos that were there. But suffice it to say we all had a blast. (especially Wyatt)
