Why can't we ALL live in San Diego?

Spent a week with Julie & Fred and new baby Grace and darling little Charlotte at their home in San Diego. And now I have a few questions....

Why is Julie made of COMPLETE AWESOME? Seriously, I love my sis. I wish we lived closer... and look how cute Wyatt and Charlotte are together.




Why do babies have to be colicky? This is one of Grace's happiest moments of the week...




How could we be so lucky to hit Legoland on Star Wars day and Wyatt is OBSESSED with Star Wars right now?
















Why aren't San Diego's beaches and mild climate and the Utah Mountains w/all four seasons all located in the same city (preferably the one in which I live...)?



Why do vacations have to end?

Jedi Training

Wyatt has a great group of boys that he's become good friends with in his K class this year. He also has great friends in the ward and awesome cousins. We are so grateful for all his buddies! As an only child, he really needs good friends in his life and he has definitely been blessed in this way.

He is CRAZY for Star Wars right now so we threw a Star Wars party for his K friends. So. Much. Fun.

Everyone came in Star Wars attire and their quest was to become a "True Jedi" by making it through 6 levels of training plus the bonus test: "The Cave of Fear". These boys were awesome. They were SOOOO in to it!

"We conquered the Cave of Fear!" (haha this was so funny. We set up a cave made of a cardboard box w/Darth Vader pictures and music in our pitch black basement and they each had to make their way through the dark cave w/only a flashlight and come out in a DV mask. A few of the boys were so scared Steve had to go w/them. haha sooo fun.)

Memorial Day Weekend

CR4 ROX! :)

Capitol Reef this year. Awesome place. Torrential rain. Rivers through our campsite. We couldn't do the slot canyon hike I was hoping for b/c of the rain but we did get to do this instead (both jeep and motorcycle style)

And Steve is happy

Grand Gorge Hike & Flash Flood - spectacular! Good thing all the kiddos are troopers, about half way through it started raining. We saw the beginning of a river and then hiked through it to get out. The tall walls were beautiful with spontaneous waterfalls everywhere. Now I respect the canyon in the rain much more! haha Definitely didn't get enough pics, tho...
