My sweet Mother-in-Law has purchased a new houseboat at Lake Powell - "The Cartouche" (I don't know who gave it it's lovely name?). It's being built now and is supposed to be completed by our trip to Lake Powell at the end of June. Didn't need a new houseboat - the "old" one was beautiful, but we're excited none-the-less! If anyone's interested in a share, here's the blurb about it from the builder:
New Luxury Yacht-styled houseboat "Cartouche" to be located in Bullfrog slip summer 2008.
Boat to be 72 x 18 triple deck (open sun-deck) with all amenities. Four private bedrooms, 2 baths, stainless appliances, granite countertops, active flybridge, thrusters, refrigerated air conditioning, twin 5.7L V-8s, 25kW Safe-CO genset.
Boat currently under construction by Desert Shore Houseboats. see www.desertshore.com for portfolio of DSH boats at Lake Powell.
Here's a pic of the "old" boat The Accolade, which we LOVED!
